1.Network
1.Government Arts & Science Colleges under the Directorate of Collegiate Education have networked with optic fibre connectivity with required LAN ports, Racks and switches. Establishing optic fibre network is considered as the basic IT infrastructure for New colleges and new buildings of existing colleges.
2.Internet
“This era is considered as the era of internet and it becomes one of the human rights in short duration”. NMEICT optic fibre Internet connection ranges from 10 Mbps to 40 Mbps Provided to all Government Arts and Science Colleges. FTTH 1277 is also functional in institutions where more bandwidth requiring. The internet provider is Bharat Sanchar Nigom Ltd. Separate IP also provided to colleges to operate Video Conference and other online Systems.
3.File Flow Management System
“Data is the oil of digital future hence automated operations are the future endeavour”
The online solutions of the files aims at speedy and accurate redressal of the applications and the complaints. The system was Inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister for Higher Education, Dr.K.T.Jaleel on 16-10-2018 and is functional in all the college offices, hostels and deputy directorate offices under the Directorate of Collegiate Education. The file originate in an office is processed digitally and proceed to directorate and orders and proceedings send back through this online platform only.
4.Centralized Communication
Videoconferencing facility set up at 30 government arts and science colleges funded by RUSA. The project is about to complete and waiting for commissioning and handing over. Through this system the Director is able to conduct meeting with VC established colleges directly. The system is working through a communication IP.
5.Online Resources Initiatives of Collegiate Education
Online Resources Initiatives of Collegiate Education (ORICE) is a progressive initiative of Directorate of Collegiate Education (Previously EDUSAT) to develop and disseminate higher education thoughts of eminent academicians and experts within India and abroad. The programme is part of the ongoing efforts for developing quality educational content for e learning. ORICE focus on developing Education & Research oriented contents by the eminent scholars across the world and telecast through Meghnad Saha Center for Content Development (MSCCD) as live internet streaming and Video Conference where interactions make easy.

6.Identity Card
Identity card printing machine installed at the Directorate. The printed RF Identity cards with lanyard and card holders are distributing immediately after receiving the required data through government mail ID’s of different institutions under the Directorate of Collegiate Education.
7.Digital Payment System
Digital Payment system established in institutions under the Directorate of Collegiate Education. The ePOS machines were installed in all the government institutions including hostels and deputy directorate offices under the Directorate of Collegiate Education. Option for including direct remittance for the students and public portal will be launched soon.
8.Academic Information Management System
The objective of the project is to create a centralized Academic Information and Learning Management System for all the Government Arts & Science Colleges, Training Colleges, Music Colleges and Government Physical Education College. It includes Student’s academic life cycle with administrative processes and office administrations including University Examination matters. The learning management include students attendance, assignments, online courses such as moodle and moocs, feed back etc.
9.Comprehensive Web Portal
Directorate of Collegiate Education has developed a comprehensive web portal including all government institutions under the Directorate of Collegiate Education. It aims to provide information about the department and its institutions, its courses, subjects, seats, faculties etc.
10. Centralized Attendance Management System
Biometric Attendance devices were established in 52 Government Colleges, 11 Hostels and 5 Deputy Directorate Offices under the Directorate of Collegiate Education. These systems were connected centrally with the Directorate and can control and monitor the attendance of the employees. The process of implementing the biometric attendance system in all the government institutions under the Directorate is in progress.
11. Online Scholarship Management System
The Government of Kerala has introduced various scholarships awarded to meritorious students of outstanding performance in the education sector as well as to the students of socially and economically backward categories. The online registration, management and admission of scholarships awarded by Higher Education Department of Government of Kerala would be one of the best implemented products in the e-Governance sector.
12. Government Aided Institution’s PF System
Government Aided Institution’s Provident Fund System is an online solutions of applying and processing PF management system. It speed up the process of applying and sanctioning process of PF in the Aided institutions under the Directorate of Collegiate Education.
