Collegiate Education Department runs 4 Government Training Colleges and are located at Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Kannur. Apart from B.Ed and M.Ed. courses, in-service courses for Teachers are conducted in these institutions. The only one Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE) allotted to Kerala by National Council for Teacher Education is at Thrissur.
