Program Description

Fourier analysis is a major tool in classical analysis for over centuries. It finds its own applications in many branches of science where ever a signal is viewed as a mathematical function. The classical Fourier transform solely provides frequency information, and hides information concerning the moment of emission and duration of a signal. However, Frames have established themselves as a standard notion in simultaneous time-frequency analysis to derive redundant, yet stable decompositions of signals. New theoretical developments and novel applications are continually arising due to the fact that the underlying principles of frame theory are basic ideas which are fundamental to a wide canon of areas of research. This Seminar aims to form a strong foundation on mathematical theory of frames and operators to promote hand in hand research in these areas. It includes sessions on the Geometry of Hilbert Space, Bases in Hilbert Spaces, Operators on Hilbert Spaces, Hilbert frames and frame operators, Pseudo-Differential Operators, Gabor and Wavelet frames.

On august days, 8th and 9th December 2016, DCE sponsored national seminar on \'Convergence of Theory and Practice in Public Administration: Issues and Prospects\' was held at RGM Govt college, Agali, Attappady under the auspices of the Dept of Public Administration. The programme began with the welcome address of Dr. Sujathan PK, seminar co-ordinator. Presidential address of the seminar was delivered by Dr. V. Vanaraj, the Principal of the College. Mr. Majeed Kollath, Assistant Public Prosecutor, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Thrissur. Felicitations were given by HODs\' of various departments. The 1st technical session on \'Role of E-governance in Development Administration: Myth and Reality\' was chaired by the talk of Dr. P.Sakthivel, Associate Professor in Political Science and Public Administration, Annamali University, Tamil Nadu and the topic was delivered by Dr. R. Sivakumar. In the second technical session, Dr..C. Nalinkumar presented the paper titled \'Efficiency in regulations and the Indian context for Ease of Doing Business Measures\' and the session was chaired by Sunil M.K, HOD, Dept of Public Administration, RGM College, Attappady. The third technical session was handled by Mohd Ansal Babu.N.K, Research Officer, District Planning Office, Civil Station Malappuram on the topic \' KLGSDP:- A powerful weapon towards better public administration among local bodies in Krala\' and the Chair was Azad.P, Asst Professor on FDP, Dept of Economics, University of Kerala. The last technical session on the first day was the 4th session by Muhammed Rasheed P, Asst Professor and Head, Farooq College, Calicut on \'Currency Administration in India as a tool of controlling shadow economy\' chaired by Dr.Jayamohan MK, Asst Professor, PPRI, Thiruvananthapuram. Friday, 9th December 2016 was the last leg of the seminar. The first technical session began at 9.00 am by Dr. Sreekumar SL, HOD, Dept of Political science, Panampilly memorial govt college, Chalakudki. The session was chaired by Mohd Ansal Babu.N.K, Research Officer, District Planning Office, Civil Station Malappuram. The second technical session was on \'Public policy and Parliament in a neo-liberal democratic state-A critique\' by Dr.P. Anilkumar, Asst Professor in Political science, University college, Thiruvananthapuram. The third technical session was chaired by Prasad.MG, Asst Professor, Govt Victoria college, Palakkad and the Resource Person was Azad .P, Asst Professor on FDP, Dept of Economics, University of Kerala. After lunch break, the fourth technical session was started with Nagaraj.S, Asst Professor in Economics, Govt college, Chittur as Chair and the Paper was presented by Dr.Sujathan PK, RGM college, Attappady. The Vth technical session was the last session on the concluding day. The session was thrown open for the paper presentation for the delegates and other participants and it was chaired by Sreejith.K, Asst Professor, Dept of Sociology, Govt College, Thavanoor. The valedictory session began at 4.30 PM and the seminar thus concluded at 5.00PM . The Chairman of the college, Amal Dev thanked all the delegates and participants for having made the two day seminar a stupendous success.
